Mr. Marc E. Gentry is a Principal with Ensolum and an experienced geoscientist with over 27 years of experience. He has conducted due diligence, risk-based investigations and remediation projects nationwide. Marc is a licensed Professional Geoscientist in the States of Texas and Louisiana, a licensed Professional Geologist in the States of Wyoming and Tennessee, and a Registered Geologist in the State of Arizona.

Mr. Gentry focuses his practice on the due diligence, risk management and redevelopment of impaired properties. He specializes in the assessment and cleanup of upstream, midstream, and downstream oil and gas facilities as well as retail petroleum facilities and other sites requiring risk-based site assessment and remediation. He assists clients with transactional due diligence on high-value acquisitions and he is skilled in the technical aspects of project management, project team building, scheduling and budgeting nationwide risk-based site assessments. His expertise is in remediation, oil and gas compliance, and due diligence services. He is also experienced in regulatory authority and stakeholder negotiations. He has successfully coordinated with federal, state and local regulatory agencies to assist clients with case closures. Mr. Gentry has experience supporting legal teams in complex litigation associated with site assessment and remediation activities.

Mr. Gentry has also managed groups of geoscientists, engineers, and environmental professionals conducting environmental site assessments, risk-based investigations and corrective action activities for sites regulated by the Railroad Commission of Texas (RRC), Site Remediation Group and Volunteer Cleanup Program and Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) Corrective Action Section, Voluntary Cleanup Program and Leaking Petroleum Storage Tank Program utilizing RBCA and non-RBCA environmental programs. He has successfully completed projects and negotiated with regulatory authorities in numerous states. These states include Arizona, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Ohio, North Carolina, Florida, Tennessee, New Mexico, Colorado and Hawaii. He has conducted pre purchase and post divestiture due diligence of portfolio projects including upstream, midstream, terminals and retail assets. Additionally, Mr. Gentry has provided expert reports and assisted litigation and arbitration cases involving response cost allocations and allegations of groundwater, soil and surface water contamination.

Mr. Gentry has utilized a wide range of remediation technologies. These include situ chemical injection, dual-phase extraction, bioremediation, soil vapor extraction, air-sparging and natural attenuation based upon site specific conceptual models. In addition, he has prepared formal bid solicitations for site assessment and remediation contracts for private and government entities. He served as senior geoscientist in responsible charge for the remediation of the MW-109 Area at the Turtle Bayou Superfund Site where he utilized in-situ chemical injection and ex-situ bioremediation under the supervision of the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Furthermore, he assisted the USACE with underground storage tank removals at the Corpus Christi Army Depot/Naval Air Station. He was a member of the Superfund Technical Assistance Response Team for the Columbia Shuttle Recovery.
